Gurmar Leave

Gurmar leaves are derived from the perennial woody vine named ‘Gymnema sylvestre’. In Hindi, gurmar means sugar destroyer.
It is used in Ayurvedic medicine. The leaves have acids in them that may suppress the taste of sweetness. Gurmar spice can also be added to teas.
Its taste can be bitter, intense, and earthy.
