Otherwise known as ‘thymus zygis’, Moroccan thyme is native to Europe and North Africa.
It may be used as a garnish for chowders and it is also popular in French and Cajun cuisine, working well with veal, beef, poultry and fish.
Moroccan thyme has a green flavour with a clove aftertaste.
