Bai Mu Dan means white peony, and the cup lives up to the name: pale golden apricot in colour, with a soft floral aroma, notes of melon and honey and a gentle, mellow sweetness with very little astringency. The dry leaf is a mix of sage, olive and silver tones, light and bulky in the jar.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAs a true tea from \u003cem\u003eCamellia sinensis\u003c\/em\u003e, it contains naturally occurring caffeine.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow to use it\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eUse one to two teaspoons per 250ml cup, since the whole leaves are light and bulky. Brew with water around 80 to 85°C and steep for three to five minutes. The leaves give two or three good infusions, each a little longer than the last, and the later cups turn sweeter and rounder.
