Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot Kernel Oil, extracted from the kernels or seeds of apricots (Prunus armeniaca), stands out for its light touch on the skin. This oil is obtained through cold pressing. The result is a light, yet rich oil valued for its smooth, non-greasy feel on skin. Its mild and subtly sweet aroma, reminiscent of the fresh fruit, makes it a favored carrier oil in aromatherapy and cosmetic formulations.

Aromatherapists often reach for Apricot Kernel Oil when creating massage blends, valued for its light texture, versatility, and compatibility with essential oils. It is a popular choice in face and body formulations, prized for its light, silky finish.

The composition of Apricot Kernel Oil is rich in oleic acid and linoleic acid, which contribute to the oil's light, smooth feel.

Common Uses: Beyond its use in skincare, Apricot Kernel Oil is used in hair care blends. It's also used in a variety of cosmetic products, from lip balms to body butters, for its light feel.

Blends well with: Most floral and citrus essential oils, such as Lavender, Rose, Geranium, and Bergamot, carrying their scent while providing a smooth, easily absorbed base.

Aromatic Scent: Apricot Kernel Oil has a very mild, sweet scent that does not overpower, making it an excellent carrier oil for more fragrant essential oils.
