Balancing Blend
A blend of lavender, clary sage and bergamot. Herbaceous and soft rather than sharp: dried lavender flowers first, then the warm, slightly winey hay note of clary sage, finished with bergamot's bright citrus.
Lavender provides the floral and herbaceous backdrop, clary sage adds depth and complexity with its warm, slightly fruity character, and bergamot contributes the fresh, uplifting citrus edge.
How to use it
Diffuse 4 to 6 drops for a soft, rounded room scent, dilute to 1 to 2% in a carrier oil for the skin, or stir a few drops into a tablespoon of carrier oil before adding it to a bath so it disperses instead of sitting on the surface. Technique tip: bergamot is photosensitising, so keep treated skin out of direct sunlight for twelve hours after use, and add the bergamot side of any extension last, since it fades first and you want to judge it fresh.
