Borage Oil

Borage Oil, extracted from the seeds of the Borago officinalis plant, is a rich carrier oil known for its content of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a fatty acid. Obtained through cold pressing, this method preserves the oil's natural fatty acids, making Borage Oil a prized ingredient in natural skincare for its moisturizing, luxurious texture.

In skincare, Borage Oil is celebrated for its exceptional moisturizing and softening texture. It's particularly popular in blends for dry skin, where it leaves a soft, supple feel.

Though Borage Oil is not typically used for its aroma in traditional aromatherapy, its role as a carrier oil allows for the dilution and application of essential oils, combining a light fragrance with a soft, conditioned finish on the skin.

Common Uses: Borage Oil is favored in hair care for its ability to condition, moisturize, and add shine to the hair.

Blends well with: Most essential oils as a carrier oil. Its mild scent and luxurious texture make it an ideal base that doesn't compete with the fragrances of essential oils.
