Calming Oil
An essential oil blend of geranium, lavender, chamomile and mandarin. The scent is soft and sweet: rosy green geranium and herbaceous lavender at the front, a warm apple-like chamomile through the middle, and a bright mandarin peel note that keeps it from turning heavy.
Each of the four contributes a distinct character: geranium a sweet floral note, lavender a soft herbaceous one, chamomile a warm sweetness, and mandarin a citrus lift that brightens the whole.
How to use it
Add 3 to 5 drops to a diffuser or a personal inhaler, or dilute to 1 to 2% in a carrier oil, roughly 6 to 12 drops per 30ml, for massage oils and skincare formulations. It can be extended with ylang-ylang, cedarwood or bergamot for more aromatic depth. Technique tip: chamomile and lavender sit low and hold for hours while mandarin burns off within the first twenty minutes, so if you are blending by hand add the mandarin last and judge the scent then, not before.
