Cough Relief Tea

Ameen Foods Cough Relief Tea is a loose blend of marshmallow flower, licorice, ginger and Ceylon green tea. Licorice contributes a naturally sweet taste, ginger adds gentle spice, and green tea provides a light, earthy finish.

The taste is gently sweet and warming, with the natural sweetness of licorice rounded by ginger and finished with the light, grassy note of green tea. Marshmallow flower, the dried bloom of the marshmallow plant, brings a soft floral character and a smooth feel to the cup.

Flavour and preparation

Marshmallow flower gives the infusion a smooth character. Prepare according to the directions on your pack and strain before serving. This blend contains green tea and should not be treated as a caffeine-free herbal infusion.

How to use it

Follow the directions on your pack: steep the loose blend in hot water, then strain before serving. Serve it hot, or let it cool and pour it over ice with a slice of lemon. Technique tip: because the blend contains green tea, let the boiled water cool for a minute or two before pouring so the cup stays smooth rather than bitter.
