Floral & Citrus Blend
A five-oil blend of bergamot, sweet orange, geranium, rose and ylang ylang. The citrus arrives first, bergamot's sweet tea-like brightness over juicy sweet orange, and then gives way to a full floral heart of green geranium, deep rose and creamy ylang ylang.
Bergamot adds a bright, sophisticated top note, sweet orange warmth, geranium a lush green floral heart, rose a deep comforting fragrance, and ylang ylang a sweet, slightly exotic depth.
How to use it
Diffuse 4 to 6 drops for an inviting, layered room scent, or dilute to 1 to 2% in a carrier oil for a body oil or as the heart of a natural perfume. It also works stirred into unscented lotions and homemade beauty products. Technique tip: the citrus notes fade first, so in a diffuser add one extra drop at the halfway point rather than starting with a stronger mix, which pushes the florals into cloying territory before the citrus has gone.
