Ginger

Ginger Powder - Originating from Southeast Asia, ginger was thought to be first adapted for use by the Austronesian peoples. It was used by the ancient Greeks and Romans, and it is one of the first spices that was ever exported from Asia in the spice trade.
Used widely in cooking, ginger can be added to curries, marinades, and gravy as a spice. It can be used in pastries and many baked goods. It is a main ingredient in gingerbread, and in ginger tea. It is also used medicinally, and was grown in pots on Chinese ships and used to prevent sailors from getting scurvy.
Ginger powder smells spicy, woody, and floral.
