Herbal Tea for Sleep
A caffeine-free infusion of valerian root, chamomile, lemon balm and peppermint. It brews pale straw gold and tastes soft and slightly sweet, chamomile's apple note first, then a cool peppermint finish, with valerian's earthy, root-cellar character sitting underneath.
Lemon balm contributes a subtle lemony brightness that keeps the blend from turning heavy. It is made with 100% natural ingredients and is free from artificial additives and preservatives.
How to use it
Brew one heaped teaspoon per cup in water just off the boil, around 95C, and steep 5 minutes. Strain and drink it plain or with a little honey. Technique tip: valerian root is dense and takes longer to open than the leaf ingredients, so cover the cup while it steeps. Left uncovered, the peppermint aromatics escape in the steam while the valerian is still extracting, and the balance tips earthy.
