Himalayan Pink Salt

Rock salt from ancient mineral deposits in the Himalayan region, hand-mined and minimally processed. The crystals run from pale rose to deep pink and taste clean and mildly saline, without the flat metallic edge refined table salt can carry.

Minimal processing is what leaves the natural colour variation intact. Its clean, balanced taste has made it a versatile everyday option in kitchens well outside the region it comes from.

How to use it

Use it anywhere you would use table salt: stirred in during cooking, in brines and rubs, or scattered over meats, vegetables, salads and snacks as a finishing salt where the pink crystals also show on the plate. The coarse grain suits a grinder well. Technique tip: coarse crystals dissolve more slowly than fine salt, so when salting to taste in a hot pan give it a full minute before judging, or you will over-salt chasing a flavour that has not arrived yet.
