Lavender & Jasmine Oil Blend
This aromatic blend pairs lavender and jasmine essential oils. Lavender leads with a soft, herbaceous floral note, much like dried lavender buds warmed in the hand, and jasmine layers a sweeter, heavier white-flower richness over it. The result reads as a rounded floral with a green herbal base rather than a sharp perfume.
It is made from lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and jasmine (Jasminum officinale) essential oils, both long used in aromatherapy for their scent profiles.
How to use it
Add three or four drops to a diffuser, or one drop to a personal inhaler. For a fragrant massage, dilute to about 2%, roughly 12 drops in 30ml of a carrier oil such as jojoba or sweet almond, and apply to pulse points if you want it as a personal scent. Bergamot brightens the blend and chamomile pushes it in a more herbaceous direction. The technique tip: for a fragrant soak, stir the drops into a tablespoon of carrier oil or unscented bath base first, because neat oil poured into a tub simply floats on the surface.
