Organic Turmeric Powder

Ameen Foods Organic Turmeric Powder is made from pure, organically grown Curcuma longa roots with nothing added and nothing artificial. It delivers the true golden color and earthy flavor that have made turmeric a staple in South Asian and Middle Eastern cooking for centuries.

The powder is a deep golden-orange, fine and dry, with a warm, earthy, slightly bitter and peppery flavour and a mild, musky aroma. It is also sold as haldi powder, the everyday name in Indian and Pakistani kitchens.

This spice brings warmth and depth to curries, soups, rice dishes, and marinades, while its bright hue naturally enhances food presentation. Outside the kitchen, turmeric is also used as a natural dye for recipes, skincare, and crafts.

Rich in curcumin, the compound responsible for turmeric's signature color, organic turmeric has long been valued in Ayurvedic culture. It adds both taste and vibrant color to your cooking.

A pantry essential for anyone who values clean, simple ingredients. Organic turmeric adds both taste and purpose to your cooking.

How to use it
Add half a teaspoon to a pot of curry, dal or rice, or up to a teaspoon in a large stew or roasted vegetables. Technique tip: cook turmeric briefly in hot oil or ghee for about thirty seconds before adding liquid, which removes the raw edge and deepens the colour. It stains cloth and countertops, so wipe spills straight away. Store in an airtight jar away from light and damp.
