Panch Puran - Originating in Eastern South Asia, it is used in Bangladeshi and Indian cooking. The name means ‘five spices’ and in fact, all five of the spices in this mix are seeds.
Ameen Panch Puran is made up of fennel seed, fenugreek seed, nigella seed, cumin seed, and black mustard seed.
Panch puran is is a rub for meat and can be added to stews. It may be sprinkled on or used for pickling vegetables.
It has a nutty, and bitter taste.
