Relaxation Tea

Relaxation Tea is a loose blend built on jasmine tea leaves, with chamomile, lemon balm, peppermint and rosehips. It brews pale gold and smells floral before it smells herbal, with the mellow apple-like character of chamomile, a light citrus note from lemon balm, a cool minty edge from peppermint and a tart, fruity finish from rosehips, closer to a hibiscus cup than to a plain green tea.

Made with 100% natural ingredients and no artificial additives or preservatives. The jasmine base is a true green tea, so this blend does contain naturally occurring caffeine.

How to use it

Use a heaped teaspoon, about 2g, per 250ml cup. Because the base is a green tea, brew at roughly 80°C rather than a rolling boil and steep for three minutes; hotter water or a longer steep pulls bitterness out of the green leaf. Drink it plain, or with a slice of lemon or a little honey, which suits the rosehip tartness. The technique tip: warm the pot first and cover it while it steeps, so the jasmine and peppermint aromatics stay in the cup instead of escaping with the steam. The leaf takes a good second steep.
