Crimson Ember Green Tea Blend

Crimson Ember is a loose green tea blend of green tea, hibiscus, ginger, licorice root and echinacea herb. Hibiscus tints the cup a deep red and adds a bright tartness, ginger brings a warming, spicy edge and licorice root rounds everything out with its natural sweetness, over a light, earthy green tea base. Echinacea herb adds a subtle grassy note. Ginger tea, hibiscus tea and green tea drinkers will each recognise a favourite in the cup.

The blend is built on true green tea, so it contains naturally occurring caffeine.

How to use it

Let boiled water cool for a minute or two, pour it over the blend and steep for three to four minutes, then strain, adjusting the amount of blend to taste. Water just off the boil keeps the green tea from turning harsh while the hibiscus and ginger open fully. Sweeten with honey or a slice of lemon if you like, or chill it and serve it over ice for a tart, spiced iced tea.
